You Are Anointed To Be You – Pst John Hannah Day 4 Morning Session 2

pastor John Hannah

Pastor Hannah started his session with a charge to everyone to seize moments by opening our mouths to make proclamations to establish God’s spoken word. He quoted Numbers 14:28, “Say unto them, as truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you.” He then charged everyone to declare, “this is going to be one of the best years of my life”, “I have been designated to be the next”, “My latter shall be greater.” He moved on to narrating the story of David and the process that got him anointed as king by Samuel, the Priest of God.  David, the chosen, the anointed was in the field, where he didn’t look like who he was destined to be!

Pastor Hannah narrated his childhood story where his dad ended up in prison and he was at the mercy of his mother who abused him verbally, daily. He quoted 1 Samuel Sixteen and verse Twenty-Three, And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took a harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.” He pointed out the truth that what separates us is the anointing and the only thing to do is to show up to do what we have been doing; for we will be called!

He further went on to point out the truth that we have been anointed to multitask and no one ought to fall under the pressure of the enemy to make us drop the things we have been called to – a wife, a mother, an entrepreneur, a worshipper, etc. he said God knows that we have the abilities to do the supernatural. He charged everyone to stop listening to the devil that is saying you are doing too much. “You are anointed to do whatever you are called to do.”

Lastly, he charged each one of us to be who we have been anointed to be! From the story of David and Goliath, he encouraged everyone to shun foolishness – accepting other people’s labels instead of who God has called you to be. 1 Samuel 17:28 He charged us to speak out and declare who God called us to be just as David did right in the face of Goliath in 1 Samuel 17:45-48. He said pointed out the truth that as a believer, one must take the step of faith as David did and God would complete the task as it happened in 1 Samuel 17:49.

Pastor Hannah ended his session with a charge for us to take up the weapon of praise, prayer in the face of pressure and prayed for each person in the congregation to see the oil on their faces.
