WAFBEC 2018 – Day 1 (Evening Session 1) with PASTOR POJU OYEMADE

WAFBEC 2018 – Day 1 (Evening Session 1) with PASTOR POJU OYEMADE

Opening Speech by PASTOR POJU OYEMADE

2 Cor. 1:3-8

Pastor Poju began the opening speech at the conference by admonishing the congregation on the need to receive God’s ministers, as vessels through which He supplies His grace.

God allows a minister to go through things so that His people will find consolation in times of trouble or need.

In 2 Cor. 1:3-8, Paul was talking about the dynamics of ministry. If we suffer with Christ, we will be glorified together with Him.

God will always supply grace to sustain the man of God. He prepares him for ministry to His people. When a minister goes for an event or a conference to speak, s/he comes to deposit this grace of God to the people.

Rom. 1:8-11

The purpose of inviting ministers to WAFBEC is for them to impart these spiritual gifts to the people of God. The need to come physically to the people is for the impartation of spiritual gifts.

In 2 Cor. 1:3-8, Paul talked about the sufferings of Christ, which is not an external thing. It refers to the pain a Christian suffers as s/he decides to follow God’s righteousness (i.e. the way of Christ), instead of the way of sin. It is this ‘enduring moments’ that God transforms the person, through the supply of His grace.

What brought about the vision of WAFBEC?

The ministry of Kenneth Hagin & Kenneth Copeland, was what brought about the global outburst in the word of faith. God told me (Pastor Poju) to get the young men who sat under these ministers to come into a meeting, and impart all that they received while they were in Tulsa under the ministry of Kenneth Hagin. It’s the reason we host this conference.

Rev. Mark Hankins, a son of Brother Hagin, has continued to teach the word of faith the way Kenneth Hagin did and Kenneth Copeland does.
