WAFBEC 2019 (Day 8) Afternoon Session 1 with Pastor Mark Baker

“Hallelujah. I love your leader. You can tell he has a good relationship with God. Let’s give him a round of applause. This is the day the lord has made and we will rejoice in it. I feel so much at home and really don’t want to leave here. The hospitality has been awesome”, were the words of Pastor Mark Baker as he took his last session on last day at WAFBEC 2019.

He spoke on “Walking in Covenant Faith”. He started from Genesis 12: 1-3.

He mentioned that faith is a way of life. According to him, “Nothing changes until you believe”.

He told the congregation that Gen 12 is a foundational scripture that changed his life advising them to always keep the Abrahamic promises personal, because God included you in that covenant. “The Abrahamic covenants are forever”, he admonished the people.

One scripture he gave, and which is to be confessed daily as a promise was Gal. 3:29 (And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise). He quoted Psalm 105:8 to say that God remembers his covenant forever even unto a thousand generations.

“Faith is not how quickly it comes to pass but how long you are willing to wait”. Pastor Mark made this statement and it was really an eye opener.

He emphasised on the need to always declare the promises of God. “My confession controls my life. Where you are today is as a result of your confessions. Don’t say what you don’t have, just say you don’t have it yet”, he encouraged the people.

“You have a measure of God’s faith inside you”, he said this after quoting Romans 12:3. He also quoted Gen 15:6 to say that Abraham believed and it was accounted for righteousness.

“Confess that all your bills are paid in full. Whatever they are confess it. If you stay in faith you will not feel the weight of your responsibilities. I have been in ministry for over 25 years and I have never felt the weight of my ministry. Entrepreneurs, you will never feel the weight of your businesses”, he made this declaration to inspire the people.

He shared several testimonies from his personal life to encourage the congregation not to give up on God or His word.

He admonished everyone to be consistent in tithing in 2019. “Tithing gives you vision. Just as glasses helps my vision. Personally, when I did not tithe I did not see nowhere”.

Still teaching on Faith, he advised everyone not to seek the possession of another man but the faith they displayed in getting results. “Faith is a principle that is tested and works. It is that one thing they have you don’t have to pay for”, he added.

“Just like Abraham in Hebrews 11:8, sometimes you don’t need to know where you are going to, just obey. Whatever is not of faith is a sin”.

As he closed his session, he admonished the people not to be weary in your doing. Believe what God says…Give as you have made up in your own mind. Not out of compulsion. Every time it is time to give you should be the first to burst out. You are blessed”.
