WAFBEC 2019 (Day 7) Afternoon session 2 with Dr Samuel Patta

It was a honour to have Dr. Samuel Patta again at WAFBEC. His first topic for this year’s event was “Align yourself to God, His will and purpose”.

Sharing an experience of how God grew his church from eighty members to thousands, with diverse locations, he encouraged the congregation to allow God work inside them.

“Align yourself with God, and he will do his wonders”, he said. “It doesn’t matter where you are in the journey of life, there is a word for you today. Don’t believe the lies of the devil, God wants you to prosper. You are wired to bear fruit”, he added.

According to 3 John 1:2, it is God’s will and mandate is to make you prosper. He told the congregation that one of the blessings of God is to be fruitful; and also to subdue the earth and take dominion.

He told the congregation that ‘Barrenness’ is a curse, and also that you can’t be blessed and not bear fruit.

He cited an example – Abraham – in Genesis 12:1-3, and added that everything God touches he multiples.

Reading from Isaiah 43:19, he encouraged everyone not to be bitter in the new year. “No matter what you are going through, it is just to make you fruitful. And when you bear fruit, you get men attracted to the Lord Jesus Christ as his name is at stake if you don’t bear fruit”.

Still teaching on the alignment with God’s will, Dr Patta tried to differentiate between faith and motivation. He said that you’re motivated to follow your own strength while faith seeks God.

“Begin to partner with God. That is the secret, as He is our source. Abraham’s fruitfulness was all about his yielding to God – obedience and submission. If you begin to align your heart with God, and make the adjustment(s) He’s showing you, you will no longer be barren. ”, he advised.

He stressed that Prayer and fasting doesn’t take the place of obedience to God. “Don’t try to direct your own steps. Turn to God for direction”‘ said Dr. Samuel

He re-emphasised the need to work and practice living in God’s presence.

“It is only when you are connected to the vine that you can bear fruit. Constantly and consciously working on maintaining a righteous relationship with God is the only way we can bear fruit. Don’t live a wayward life”, he warned, and added that there is no faith when there is sin.

Dr. Samuel’s message was simple yet an important call to living in the supernatural. You can glean more insights by downloading and listening to the full message. Click WAFBEC DAY 7 AFTERNOON SESSION 2
