WAFBEC 2019 (Day 5) Afternoon session with Bishop Keith Butler

Bishop Keith Butler also spoke this year at WAFBEC 2019. This is his second time at the event, and he was happy to see the people of Covenant Christian Centre again.

He taught, reading from Psalm 19: 14, on the importance of words we speak. He said that as believers, there are words that aren’t acceptable in the kingdom. God sees them unacceptable.

“Choose words that God accept”, he admonished everybody. Psalm 119:72, Romans 10:9. The mouth is not for the purpose of slicing your own neck but to be used for dealing with the powers of darkness”, said Bishop Keith.

Proverb 12:14, Prov. 15:23, Prov. 21:23, Eccl. 5:6, Psalm 39:1, Psalm 21:2, I Timothy 4:2, James 1:22.

“If you can control your mouth, you will be able to control the way you work with God,” The man of God opined.

Prov. 12:18, 18:21, 1 Peter 20:18

When you speak words that are contradictory God sees it as an evil.

Bishop Keith said that when pressure crushes you, it is what comes out of your mouth that will happen in your life. “So fill your mouth with the word of the God so that when everything goes wrong, the word of God just comes out; and that is real faith” he added.

Matthew 15: 16-20, 1 Peter 2:21-22, I Timothy 5:13, Genesis 1:26.

He charged the congregation, “You are made in God’s image, and so you should create with your mouth. You should operate like God”.

Psalm 103:20, Proverbs 6:2, Psalm 103:1-3, Revelation 12:11

Part of what he shared was the 11 ways to talk yourself into victory.

  1. Governing your mouth. Teach your mouth. Proverbs 16:23, Philemon 1:6
  2. Speak what you believe
  3. Skip the breakfast and feed on the word of God. Daily deposit of the word of God until you are in abundance of the word of God. Matthew 4:4
  4. Talk less. Eccl. 5:2, Proverbs 15:28.
  5. Confess that Jesus is Lord over your life and everything. Isaiah 54:13-17. Romans 17:9.
  6. Clean up your mouth. Col. 3:8.
  7. Ask the Lord to set a watch over your mouth. Romans 10:9, 1 Timothy 5
  8. Sing hymn and praise song to the lord. That comes from spending time with him. God will give you give you your own song. Ephesians 5:19
  9. Speak what you want, not what you see. Romans 4:17
  10. Speak what you believe, not what you see. Keep calling them until they are.
  11. Align your mouth with the word of God. Once you get your mouth straight, you get in line with the Holy Ghost to do what he wants. Once your mouth is in line with God, heaven is behind you in full force.

Finally, he led the congregation in this prophetic psalm which he advised they always sing;

“For thou oh lord art a shield for me,

my glory and the lifter of my head …”

It was an awesome time in God’s presence during Bishop Keith’s session. You can listen to the full message here WAFBEC DAY 5 AFTERNOON SESSION 2
