WAFBEC 2019 (Day 4) – Afternoon Session 2 with Dr. Efe Obuke

Dr. Efe continued his teaching from where he left off on Saturday.

He urged everyone to draw close to the Holy Spirit in other to experience liberty.

According to him, “The manifestation of the holy spirit brings liberty”. 2 Cor. 3:17.

“Walk in the light of God and he will navigate you”, he said.

He reminded the congregation that the first key which he spoke about was that the manifestation of the spirit brings liberty.

He mentioned the focus for today’s teaching – where the spirit of the lord is Lord, then there is liberty.

“Allow the Holy Spirit’s ideas to be your most dominant thoughts. Don’t follow your instinct. He has to be Lord”, he said while addressing that worry or anxiety is a sign that you are trying to solve your problem. “If you seek God, then you won’t be worried”, he added.

Still address worry, he used Matthew 6:25 to explain that the bible asks us not to be worried about your life.

“When you are in worry state, all heaven needs to do is calm you down first. Until that happens you can’t move on to the next phase”, he said.

He shared two strategies for preventing anxiety, fear, worries or anything that will stop us from getting to that place of liberty.

  1. Daniel 3:15. “Challenges come in different ways”, he said, and explained that we must respond just the way the three Hebrews did to the king.
  2. 2 peter 5:7. Cast all your cares. He asked the congregation cast what challenging situation they may have, upon the lord. “Why? Because he cares for you”, said Dr. Efe.

Still ministering on the need to cast our cares upon the Lord, Dr. Efe admonished the people to stop romancing their problems. “Turn it all to God. Don’t discuss it. Just turn it over to God. God cares”, he said as he prepared to close.

Finally, he prayed for open heavens and liberty. He admonished everyone to celebrate Jesus and give God praise.
