WAFBEC 2018 – DAY 4 (AFTERNOON SESSION 3) with Pastor ‘Poju Oyemade

COOPERATING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Pastor ‘Poju read Philippians 2:13. He started by saying that if God is the one who helps us to do of his good pleasure, then He’s also the one who helps us live by faith. He explained that the Holy Spirit is the one who helps us to receive those things that God has given.

He outlined the process by which the Holy Spirit brings about manifestation.

Holy Spirit reveals the God’s will

The Holy Spirit gives us knowledge and grants us utterance to speak  through the knowledge received. If we are speaking the words of God inspired by the Holy Spirit, such words ill not return to us void but fulfill the intentions of God in our lives. Ephesians 1:17

If you have seen what God has provided for you, your mind will always be in a state of rest. However, this can only happen when the Holy Spirit opens up the eyes of your understanding. 2Kings 6:13-2

Some people have seen because they have asked God in humility to open their eyes. However, some people are working based on information.

“The first thing the Holy Spirit does is to give us knowledge, then Utterance. The third is the power of manifestation. The fourth is the power of continuity.”

The biggest thing Satan can do is to blind people from seeing. That’s why his kingdom is that of darkness, and this blindness is of the heart.

For every endeavour you embark on, open up your heart to God and seek His guidance through the Holy Spirit. Request the will of God regarding such intentions. Do not resist the voice of the Holy Spirit regardless of other voices around you. John 12:49, Num. 22:7, 9:8, Exo. 14:15

Holy Spirit gives utterance

The power is not just in our words, but in what God has said concerning us or the situation. The just shall live by His faith; not our faith. We cannot confess words outside of Christ. You cannot see His light and not be transformed. When a person speaks based on what s/he has heard, power is released. 2 Peter 1:19-20, 1 Kings 3

Holy Spirit gives the power of continuity

The secret to getting result is continuity. When you have received the word of God, continue to walk with Christ for the manifestation to continuously be evident in your life. Matthew 14:30

For every failure you encounter, you either did not hear God right, or you heard and ceased to continue in that walk of faith.

When Jesus said, “O ye of little faith”,He wasn’t referring to ‘little or big’ faith (that is, placing the power to get things done on you). Rather, He was talking about getting an outburst of faith initially and then allowing it to phase out eventually. For you to get to a place of manifestation, there has to be continuity in your faith.

Avoid comparison and seek God’s guidance on a continual basis. Resist yielding to secular opinions and focus on God’s words only. Eph. 3:2, 1 Cor. 3:10

“For every endeavour you embark on, open up your heart to God and seek His guidance through the Holy Spirit.”

Hear from God before you begin to toil the land. Before you commence with every business venture, seek God’s input on such venture. Take from what you have and give out to others in need. By so doing, you build yourself treasures in heaven and here on earth.

Consistency in your rejoicing gives you great experiences, and great experiences bring you hope for even greater achievements.

Pray for your expectations, believe you have received them and give thanks on receiving what you have asked for. Rom. 5:2

Avoid paying attention to negative things. Pay less attention to what men are saying about you ,and more to what God is saying about you. Be kindhearted but be tough with life and what it brings along.

Jude 1:11

When you discover hidden truths, don’t go around spreading it. Try to integrate it first in your life. It is better for a man if he has not seen,  than for God to show him and he goes about telling everybody.

“For you to get to a place of manifestation, there has to be continuity in your faith.”

The word of God causes you to rejoice in what He shows you. It is when you remove your eyes from the given word of God and start to observe external circumstances, that you get distracted.

Focus on what God is telling you and where He is taking you; keep your emotions grounded in Joy. Do not be over confident, rather stay connected to the root of your hope – fellowship with God and the living word of God.
