WAFBEC 2018 DAY 2 (AFTERNOON SESSION 3) with REV. VICTOR ADEYEMI

WAFBEC 2018 DAY 2 (AFTERNOON SESSION 3) with REV. VICTOR ADEYEMI

Rev. Adeyemi began this session by encouraging the congregation to build their faith in the power of God (1 Cor. 2:4-5). He shared from Eph. 3:13-21. He said that God’s power does exceedingly abundantly above all we can ever ask (in prayer) or think (in our vision).

He said that as God’s children we need to learn how to exercise faith in the power of God for ALL things. As God’s children, we are the most powerful beings on earth, to be envied for the results we produce, not to be pitied for the worry or fear that we exhibit.

Rev. Adeyemi taught on two lines in the prayer of Paul in Eph. 3:17-18

In Eph. 3:17, Paul was writing to Christians who already had Christ dwelling in them. In the above scripture, to ‘dwell’, means “that Christ may be at home in your heart…”, as amplified in other translations and in the original text of the verse.

Christ being at home (in a man) means such a man is exercising faith in Christ’s ability to produce manifestation in his life, and to meet his needs.

Like Paul wrote in the Eph. 3:17, when your faith is strong and your spirit is strengthened with might, you have an assurance that your tribulations are ‘light afflictions” working for you an eternal weight of glory (2 Cor. 4:8-18).

Never give up. Renew your consecration to God. Dream new dreams, make new plans and sing the victory song. God is restoring and compensating you for all you have ever lost.

The love of God does not emphasize what you can do for Him. It emphasizes what God can and has already done for you. We find this truth in 1 John 4:9-10; Romans 5:8.

The love of God is an unconditional, eternal love. True faith is rooted in the limitless nature of God’s love. Like a plant rooted into the ground enjoying sustenance, growth and productivity, true faith rooted in God’s love keeps us sustained, growing and productive. 1 John 4:16.

The love character of God was further buttressed in Exo. 34:6, when God revealed Himself to Moses as “the LORD… merciful and gracious, longsuffering and abounding in goodness and truth.”

God does not display these characters because He likes to. He does because that’s who He is!

“True faith is rooted in the limitless nature of God’s love.”

The revelation and experience of God’s love transforms you to be a blessing to other people.

The second part of Exo. 34:7 could however appear contradictory when it said, God “…by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children…”

Simply put, its God’s way of maintaining justice and restraining evil on earth, thereby protecting society from wickedness. It’s a part of God reserved for those who reject His love and forgiveness. This is the purpose of Criminal Justice Administration: to put away those who violate the law, lawfully.

“God’s love is unlimited in its width, length, height and depth.”

The width of His love refers to the inclusive nature of God’s love. He loves all races of people, all colour, all creed, and all character (good or bad) unconditionally.

The length of God’s love refers to the longevity and tenacity of His love. He has loved us from eternity past into eternity future.

The height of God’s love refers to the altitude and peak of His love. It’s incomparable in nature.

The depth of God’s love refers to the integrity, solidity and ‘inexhaustibility’ of His love. His love is rooted in His eternal nature. Its depth can never be fathomed. You can never get to the bottom of God’s love.

And no matter how far gone you are, once you accept His love, He’ll take you back.

It’s time to believe in the love that God has for you and be confident in it. By faith create an atmosphere where Christ can be at home in your heart.

God will bless you and make you a blessing.
