Pastor Yemi Davids speaks at WOFBEC 2024 on Faith in God’s Covenant

Pastor Yemi Davids took the stage for the Afternoon Session at WOFBEC 2024, igniting the atmosphere with a compelling message titled “Faith in God’s Covenant.” Drawing insights from various scriptures, including Genesis 26:1, Genesis 26:12, Hebrews 6:12-16, Galatians 3:27-29, 1 Samuel 20:14-17, 2 Samuel 9:7-10, Judges 7:10-15, and James 4:6, he explored the profound concept that a Christian life is fundamentally a covenant life.

Entering the Oath of God’s Covenant: Beyond Religion to Power

Pastor Yemi Davids emphasised that being born again is not a religious act but a powerful covenant to access divine authority. Declaring oneself a covenant child is not merely a religious statement but a proclamation of inherent power derived from the covenant with God (Galatians 3:27-29, 1 Samuel 20:14-17, Genesis 26:12).

Faith in Covenant: Rising Above Circumstances

Highlighting the transformative power of faith in the covenant, Pastor Yemi Davids asserted that such faith elevates individuals above prevailing circumstances. He drew inspiration from Hebrews 6:12-16 (TPT, NLT, KJV) and Genesis 22:15-17, underscoring the supernatural victories that understanding the covenant brings.

Covenant Prayer for Supernatural Manifestations

Pastor Yemi Davids led the congregation in a fervent prayer, declaring that the covenant would pave the way for remarkable testimonies and the manifestation of Isaac-order blessings. He prophesied favorable properties, assets, and blessings that would transform destinies.

Communion as a Source of Power

Encouraging believers to take communion regularly, Pastor Yemi Davids emphasized its role in accessing divine power and the backing of God. Understanding the covenant, he stressed, brings the higher life and supernatural victory.

Walking in Covenant Blessings: Obedience and Information

Referencing Genesis 26:1-5, Pastor Yemi Davids elucidated that to walk in the blessing of the covenant, obedience to God’s instructions is crucial. He emphasized that life and destiny change through the information—whispers of destiny—placed within reach, citing Mark 10:47 and the importance of not letting deficiencies become excuses.

The Role of the Holy Spirit and Humility in Covenant Living

Drawing from Judges 7:9-15 and James 4:6 (NKJV), Pastor Yemi Davids highlighted the significance of the Holy Spirit’s guidance and the need to avoid dictating to God in prayer. He emphasized that humility is key, citing 2 Kings 5:10-14 and 1 Samuel 17:23-30, where he encouraged believers not to wait for approval but to boldly launch into what God has spoken.

In essence, Pastor Yemi Davids conveyed a powerful message on the transformative impact of living in covenant with God, emphasising faith, obedience, communion, and humility as integral components of a covenant lifestyle. The congregation left the Afternoon Session challenged and inspired to walk in the higher life of covenant living.
