Faith at Work – 6 Days Left to #WAFBEC2014

In Basic English we learned that a verb is a ‘doing word’. This means that a verb describes an action. This simply means that something is being done and a form or activity is carried out. So when we closely examine HEBREWS 11:13-14 we’ll see that the passage is filled with verbs that show us how we can move from the knowledge of faith to its practice.

‘These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.’

Simply put we are to RECIEVE the promises rather than REJECT them.

We SEE that which we have received rather than being BLIND to them.

We are PERSUADED concerning that which we have received and seen rather than DOUBT them.

We EMBRACE that which we have become persuaded concerning rather than LET GO.

We CONFESS that which we have embraced rather than being SILENT about that.

We continue to DECLARE that which we have begun confessing without STOPPING until we get results.
