Day 8: Session 8 – Pastor Segun Onayinka

What do I do after this conference (James 1:21-25)

Upon salvation the most important thing people need to have is knowledge (1Timothy 2:4, Philemon 1:6). The knowledge of the Truth or the Word is vital. Eighty percent of Paul’s prayers in the Bible were for knowledge.

As believers, we must seek and acquire the knowledge of the Word. We must understand scriptures and apply them rightly in our lives. When you do not have knowledge as a Christian, you will be tossed to and fro. Ephesians 4: 11-14, Hosea 4:6.

The Bible is Christ–centred, from Genesis to Revelation, it speaks about the person of Jesus Christ.  We must seek to know everything about Jesus (Luke 24:25).  In our knowledge of Christ, we also realise who we are (Matthew 16). In knowing Christ, you will be able to acknowledge every good thing in you in Christ. Go from WAFBEC with an urgency to know Jesus. (Romans 2:18, Romans 10:1, Philippians 3:10)

The church emerged from the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the firstborn among many brethren. This means He is the model. Whatever we find in Jesus, we also have. We are not a needy people, we are a blessed people. When we assemble, each one of us comes with God’s presence. (1 Corinthians 14:26, Ephesians 1:6)

Knowledge is key in our walk with God. Stop being need conscious. Be Christ conscious.
