Day 7: Session 2 – Dr. Bill Winston

Dr. Bill Winston was the second speaker on Thursday 29th January i.e. day seven of WAFBEC 2015.

Joshua 5:9-12, Hebrews 4:1-3, Acts 10:35

The moment someone gets born again and comes into the kingdom of God, everything changes. Once you know Christ, nothing remains the same. The kingdom of God is the complete opposite of what the world represents. God delivered us from the power of darkness and has brought us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Now we have to live in that kingdom.

Luke 1:42-46, 36,53,48, Mark 5:34, Romans 10:6, Jeremiah 1:12, Colossians 1:13-16

The new birth connects with the original source of power and provision. The connection man had with God before was broken after Adam fell. Jesus came to restore that connection. If the Christian takes the Word and does what it says, the person’s life will never remain the same. Everything the devil tried to take will also be released.

There came a time that manna ceased i.e. the way that God provided for the Israelites was no longer available. Each time God changed their location, He changed their diet. Now that in God you have been born anew, it’s time to go out and feed first on milk, then something in between milk and strong meat, then strong meat.

Hebrews 4:1-5

The work was finished from the foundation of the world…

Dr. Winston speaking from the heart shared this with the congregation, “In the book of Hebrews, the writer spoke about mixing the Word with faith, so I am going to give you some things that you probably have not heard of before, but nevertheless is the truth coming out of God’s Word. You have to take this truth and commit to a process of the kingdom of God to produce what it says. I give the scriptures, and you take it as it applies personally and commit to a process that I’m going to show. Once you commit to the process, you will get the same results that I got. I took the Word, i.e. the seed, and planted it in the soil of my heart, my heart grew the seed and whatever the seed promised me manifested. We fly around the world in our own jet, paid for and that jet came out of this book — the Bible.”

Acts 10:34 – 35

Every believer has the same access to the blessings, as God is not a respecter of persons.

Luke 1:30 – 56

Mary was confronted by an Angel that told her she was blessed. This was a a woman who did not know a man, was unmarried, and yet she’s about to have a baby. She’s not just going to have a baby; she’s going to have God. All she had to do was receive it and once she did, the process of the kingdom took over. The kingdom of God will produce everything you need independent of location and possession; it will either produce it for you, bring it to you, bring you to it or create it for you.

When you get the Word as it relates to you, you don’t need to feel anything; you only need to receive it.  If you’ll just read the Word of God and receive it, you’re going to break through. God will give you a series of breakthroughs.

Mark 5:25-34

The woman kept saying and what she kept saying came to pass. Jesus said her faith had made her whole. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.

Romans 10: 6-8

You don’t need Jesus to come down from heaven in order for you to get what you want. He has given you his Word and whatever He can do for you, you can get through His Word.

Jeremiah 1:12

You need to get a Bible and hold on to it like you would a million dollars, because it will give up anything you need.

Mark 4: 14

Jesus taught on how to receive and sow the seed of the Word. By speaking the Word and speaking it. Watch what comes out of your mouth.

Exodus 3:21

When God breaks you through, He will not allow you go empty.

Psalms 103:1-2

When God takes sides with you, it’s not because He hates the other party involved, it’s because He loves you. God loves everybody, but He’s in covenant with His children.
