Day 6: Session 8 – Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo

In his fourth appearance at WAFBEC 2015 Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo’s message was titled Entering the Days of New Things.

Isaiah 42:9 ‘Behold the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell of them’ says the Lord. We also see a similar declaration in Isaiah 43:19-21.

God makes His position known first before He goes ahead to make His declaration about you. A declaration is a promulgation; a disclosure; an announcement. It is an announcement of His great and precious promises of that which has been written concerning you in the volume of the book (Bible).
All God requires is for His children to maintain the spirit of faith and hold on to the words that have been spoken regardless of what happens or the circumstances that surround the individual!

Many times as Christians we have put God in a box whereby we subconsciously expect Him to perform the same feat that was done in the days of Elijah in our times. However, this kind of perspective does not justify what the scriptures say about the mighty God we serve.

Isaiah 43:19-21 ‘ Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Our God is a God of new things. God wants to do new things for us this season. In this instance new can be defined as untried; untouched; unfamiliar; unusual; cutting edge; state-of-the-art. These are the new things God wants to do in our lives… God is not into repeats, new every morning is His promise to His children.

Psalm 40:3 – ‘He will put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it and fear and shall trust in the Lord’.

Prophesying Pastor Ashimolowo said, ‘In this new season God will visit us with divine insight and revelation as the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short. He is set to give us the secrets and solutions of our nation and indeed the world and He will grant us the grace that we need to overcome and get the victory.’ It’s a new season, it’s a year of new things!
