Day 6: Session 3 – Rev Emiko Amotsuka

In his first session at WAFBEC 2015, Rev Emiko Amotsuka taught on The Reality of Our Recreated Human Spirit.

Mark 11: 22-23

People are losing faith or confidence in the Word, but God’s words will produce results for those who know how to put the Word to work. It is important to retrace your steps in God in order to get your desired result. When you understand the ‘how’, you will get results.

The words in the above text were spoken by Jesus, “whosoever shall say to this mountain and be thou removed and be cast into sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, he shall have whatsoever he says.” The analogy of a mountain is used because this principle will still work in the most extreme of impossibilities!  If you believe, confess it until it comes reality.

For the miracle to manifest, the word that comes out of your mouth must be words that come out of your spirit and NOT your soul. The words from your soul can never reproduce like the words of your spirit which is the real creative force,

God is a spirit and He made man in His image hence man is a spirit- being just like God. He created man to fellowship with Him.  Using an imagery of the love for dogs, Rev Emiko explained that there’s a limit to which people can fellowship with their pets. The highest level of being is man followed by animals and the lowest are plants.

Man is a Spirit, possesses a soul and lives in a body. The human spirit has three faculties namely, intuition, conscience and fellowship.

By the faculty of Intuition,  the spirit is able to know God, understand God and the things concerning God.  By the faculty of conscience, the spirit is able to differentiate between good and evil i.e. right and wrong. By the faculty of fellowship, the spirit is able to have communion with God, interact with God. Only humans possess these faculties and this differentiates man from all other beings as we are the only ones that can know God.

The three faculties of the soul are emotions, will and intellect. Emotion is the seat of feelings e.g. hate, love. The will is the seat of decision and the intellect the seat of wisdom. The intellect helps to interpret situations, so there is a reaction to the situation in the form of a decision.

We can only know God by revelation. When you study the Word of God, you must meditate and ponder; and also request that the Holy Spirit opens the eyes of understanding. The Holy Spirit unveils/decodes the Word of God. If you’re a Nobel Laureate of English, does not confer the right to understand the Word.

The Word of God is loaded with treasures and the Holy Spirit guides you in opening these treasures. For example, the subject of healing as contained in  Isaiah 53:4 must be meditated and not quoted without understanding or the spirit of revelation. The revelation in the Spirit gives an understanding of natural situations.

It is only what the Spirit-man has possessed in the realm of the Spirit, that when confessed will become reality. If the Spirit-man does not possess it and it’s confessed it means the person has spoken from the soul. On the other hand when the spirit-man has possessed it and the individual continues in thanksgiving and the Word until it becomes reality.

When you are trusting God for something and you hear something contrary to your expectation, it is most likely that your faith will waver. Do not stay in that state, return to the Word to reassure your spirit-man, stay totally locked in the Word.

It is imperative that the spirit-man and words must be in sync so that creative power is behind those words. You must have the spiritual muscle/ capability to pull down your miracle from the realm of the Spirit.

You need to have the clarity of the human spirit to access the mind of God because the soul can never access the Spirit of God. You need to continue to obey the Holy Spirit so that He does not depart from you lest you hear the words from your soul.
