Day 5: Session 7 – Rev (Dr.) Chris Tunde Joda

Whilst speaking at his second session of the West African Faith Believers’ Convention, Dr, Joda spoke on the topic Keys to the Miraculous.

Part of the pursuit of our lives is to experience God i.e. the presence of God is everything we need. Every believer has “world overcoming” faith. Our faith as believers overcomes the world 1 John 5:4. 1 John 4:4 – We have overcome! The victory within us is our faith.

As believers, it is time to walk in the miraculous. There are four keys that unlock the miraculous:

  1. The prophetic Word.
  2. Obedience.
  3. Sowing a significant seed.
  4. Prayer.

These are the keys to walking in the miraculous. Let us take a look at some of these

The Prophetic Word

Matthew 14:24-31

If the believer will dare to do what others cannot do, he/she will get what others cannot get. The prophetic Word from Jesus to Peter was “COME”. It’s that Word that set the stage for the miraculous manifestation (Peter walked on water) that took place. The believer’s continual expectation is to be overtaken by goodness. Experiencing the miraculous and the supernatural should be a continual part of the believer’s experience.

Obedience

When Peter received the prophetic Word, He obeyed. To experience the miraculous and enter into the full reality of the prophetic Word you have received, you must obey the instructions of God. Obedience releases the power in the seed.

Isaiah 1:19, Job 36:11

If the believer will obey and serve God, the bible promises “you will spend your days in prosperity”. There are numerous examples of obedience and the rewards of obedience in scripture, if you obey God, you will eat the good of the Land.

1 Kings 17:8-16

The story of the widow of Zarephath is a story of obedience in the face of lack that produced abundance.

The Significant Seed

“Do not eat your last seed”. The widow sowed from her last seed to connect to her abundance that would preserve her and her house. Tithing is the believer’s covenant connection to God. Malachi 3:10-12.

There shall not be room enough in your life when God pours out His blessing upon you. The widow heard the prophetic Word “Make me a meal first” she obeyed that Word and sowed a significant seed. Her reward clearly shows that the miraculous produced by the significant seed can sustain you for many days. “The barrel of meal wasted not neither did the cruse of oil fail”.

The abundance of prosperity is the portion of the believer. God  NEVER intended poverty, shame, defeat or lack for His children.

Jeremiah 29:11, Deuteronomy 8:18, Psalm 11:25, Proverbs 3:9

Everything God requires of you is for your benefit.
