Day 4: Session 2 – Pastor Darrel Huffman

In his final session at the current West Africa Faith Believers’ Convention, Pastor Huffman spoke on the topic The Power of your Confession. He could not overemphasise how important what we say is the most important thing for the believer.

Matthew 12:33-34, Deuteronomy 4:19, James 1:22, Proverbs 18:21, Romans 10:8, Numbers 13:31, 14:28, 34,24, Psalms 107:1-2, Galatians 3:13-14 & 29.

We can choose to allow the world determine who we are or we can get in the Word and get our definition there. From the Word we choose what and who we want to be. As a new creature in Christ you can change the course of your life for the better.
You can’t leave your life empty, even God can’t force His blessings upon you. You always have a choice. The choices you make affect the people around you and will also benefit you greatly. Your choice determines who you’re working with i.e. right confessions mean you’ll be working with God. Choose life and you will get the blessing of The Lord.
Your tongue is as important as your life. Your tongue can represent your life.
Your life will never rise above your confessions. If you don’t like what you are getting change the things you’re saying.
Confession is not name it and claim it, it’s the life of God. It’s the Word of God, the Word has to be in your heart and in your mouth to get results.

You must first believe with your heart, and then say with your mouth Jesus is my lord for you to be saved. Believe with your heart, declare with your mouth and you have it. When you declare/speak Heaven and everything hears. Heaven is voice activated. The world is created to respond to words, God created everything on earth to respond to words. Faith works through words, the kingdom of God works through words.
Your word is powerful, It will produce when mixed with faith in the Word of God. Speak the direction you want to go, if you can’t speak the right words don’t say anything – your word can turn your situation around either for good or against you.

Doubt and unbelief is what God refers to as evil report. God wants to take us into a place of victory but we need to agree with our words.
When you learn to speak God’s Word you can get the blessings of God on your life. God recognises the voice of faith.
As the redeemed of the Lord you need to start saying what you have been redeemed from and redeemed into. To move mountains you need to move your tongue – begin by saying the word i.e. what the Word says about you. You will never have prosperity until you start to say it with your mouth.

You speak not because you are a prophet or a pastor but because you’re a believer. Speak your prosperity, healing, etc, especially when it does not seem so. Get a hold of the Word, believe the Word, hold unto your confession. Jesus is the one to bring the change but He’ll be working with you.
