Day 4 Morning Session Dr Mensa Otabil – The works of man and the acts of God Pt 2

A continuation of yesterday’s message, with the theme “The works of man and the acts of God”.

According to pastor Mensa, there are things that we have to do for God to act. Pastor Mensa read Joshua 10 vs 11- 15 which describes the war between Israel and the Amorites.

He narrated how Joshua spoke to the Lord. He clarified the scripture by stating that there are 2 stages of efforts in the battle.

The human strength and Divine effort.

  1. The human effort, which describes how the children of Israel labored through the night and walked, then suddenly they were upon the enemy.
  2. Divine effort: God is using hailstones to fight  for the children of israel. Joshua spoke to the LORD, meaning Joshua prayed. In pastor Mensa’s imaginations he is probably praying to the lord while fighting and he is probably asking God for time. In his view, Joshua prayed to ask God for permission to finish what he started. As Joshua spoke to the sun and moon, it is believed that the sun and moon were up on at the same and he said both should stop. What the children of Israel accomplished in the day time they also accomplished at night time.

There is a time in our lives when it looks like there is no time. Pastor Mensa Prophesied, if God brought you to this place, time will favor you.

When you have an opportunity and no time, talk to the lord and talk to nature. God is about to extend nature in your favor. In all it is the work of man and act of God. God is the owner of nature, he created all things. Moses started his ministry late but God caused his night time to stand in his day time. Time will not fight you, time will not stop or delay you.

He narrated an article he read in 2000, that states how Africa is 250 years behind. He wondered if the leaders also read what he read. But he trusted God, God is a shrinker of time. When he prays, he asks God to shrink the time, he doesn’t want his children or grandchildren to come to an Africa like this. Another article he read in the year 1988, about the Belgium war. How political analysts discussed and wrote about the war not ending anytime soon. But in 1989 the Belgium war came to an end.

He spoke these Prophecies
