Day 4 Afternoon Session Dr Bill Winston – Becoming Miracle-Minded

After a word of prayer, Dr. Bill Winston initiated his session; a message titled “Becoming Miracle Minded, with a reading from Isaiah 8:18 which reveals that God’s people are designed and made for signs and wonders.

Citing Ephesians 5:1, he mentioned that we, as children of God ought to imitate Him. “It is important that we understand that miracles are needed today”, he said. It is important to God that we live up to what we were created for. “You have to be miracle minded, you don’t have to be hurting to need a miracle”, he added.

To establish that the bible is a miracle book, Dr. Bill made numerous references to acts of the miraculous from the days of Noah in Genesis 7:2, to Moses in Exodus 7:9, to Gideon in Judges 6:12-13, to Abraham and then Joseph, up to the new testament acts of Jesus and his disciples.

He went even further saying that Jesus came to restore what was lost and as Jesus spoke and did many miracles, it is time for us to also say something and believe what we say. “When these miracles take place, you have to trust God. Trust Him that what He says is going to work.”

Charging us to be Miracle Minded, he referenced Acts 24:25 to show that being Miracle Minded can make people in high places of authority tremble. “If miracles and signs and wonders aren’t happening, evil gains grounds”, said Dr. Bill.

As Jesus was the sample son who came to demonstrate what we can do, it must be the will of God that God’s people do what Jesus did. “God has chosen you to demonstrate to the world what he is really like”, he said. Moving to the book of Acts 2:41, and Acts 4:4, he highlights the power of just one miracle in increasing the body of Christ.

Reminding us of our status as God’s children, Dr. Bill Winston iterated: “You are not a grasshopper, you are a game changer. . . There’s nothing on the earth that can hold you back when you are miracle minded”. To conclude his session, he reminded us to guard our hearts, and continually look into the perfect law of liberty long enough till we become like Jesus. His session came to a beautiful end with prophetic declarations.
