Day 3 Evening Session Pastor Nkechi Ene – Discerning The Sounds

Bible Text: Ezekiel 13:2, 1 Corinthians 14:6-7

Pastor Nkechi thanked Pastor Poju for inviting her to WAFBEC as it has opened her up to speaking in other places after the last WAFBEC.

She started the session by explaining that there are 2 kinds of sound – physical and mental. And God speaks sounds. It is up to us to discern the sounds from God.

She highlighted the following  points:

  1. Every sound is distinct and different. Every sound is different because it has a fundamental frequency. So, God’s sound has a different fundamental frequency from every other person’s sound. The fundamental frequency of any sound from God is that it has life.
  2. God sends his sound in 4 main ways – knowledge, prophecy, revelation, and teaching. That something is spiritual does not mean that it cannot be tested. Prophecy must be balanced by doctrine. No matter how excited you are about a sound, if it’s not from these 4 sounds, check it. Miracles will come as a result of the fundamentals. The sound of miracles comes from the church to the world to draw them to God.
  3. When God gives His life-giving sounds, we receive good things. He has an abundance of goodness to give us through His life-giving sounds. Mark 10:17,18. God is the good God. Jesus explained to the young ruler that he could not receive this life through his good works. All the sounds of Jesus are sounds of grace. The moment you believe you need to earn the life-giving sound of God, you will not be able to receive it.
  4. No sound from God can curse you. Anyone who places a curse on you, no matter who they are, they are not from God. no sound from God will tear you down or kill you. God is in the business of restoration.
  5. There may be many sounds going out but there is a sound of life specifically for you. No matter what situation you are in, there is a specific sound that God is sending out for you.

She concluded by leading the congregation in prayers to pray for everyone to hear God’s sound for them during the convention and beyond. She also ministered to people who were suffering from one infirmity or the other.
