Day 3 Afternoon Pastor Andy Osakwe

To kick off the second round of Day 3’s afternoon preaching Pastor Andy Osakwe commenced his session by instructing us to laugh prophetically as an offensive weapon and a defense against the devil.

Building on his previous session with Isaiah 60:1-5 as the anchor scripture, he establishes that the light spoken of is not the light of Moses or of Elijah but the light of Jesus. This light reveals the new creation. Showing the reality of what Jesus has done is the essence of that light.

Teaching about life as a new creation, he emphasised how the New Creation was created for dominion, including dominion over sin. “You don’t overcome sin by religion, you overcome by dominion. . . You have to exercise your dominion over your emotions”, he remarked.

Speaking further, Pst Andy highlights how we can shine;

Digging deeper into how we shine through the leading of the Holy Spirit, he refers to 1 John 1:7 speaking about how our walk of light, our lifestyle, as new creations should be based on Christ; living in love, showing mercy and kindness despite circumstances. Shedding some light on the works of light, he references Matthew 5:16; to show how no believer should be guilty of mediocre works. Excellent people stand out.

“Every time the New Creation declares a thing, light is released. Every time you speak in faith, light shoots out”, he said.

Adding to this, he mentioned the types of results we get when we shine.

Making further remarks on the anchor scripture, Pst Andy points out that when our light starts to attract, it attracts people and resources and we need both to fulfill destiny. “Some people have to see your shine for them to understand that you’re the one they are supposed to help”, he added.

Quoting from Isa 60:4-5, Isa 45:2-3 and Deut 8:18, He mentioned that there’s coming a financial shift to the body of Christ, and it’s going to happen by wealth transfer, wealth discovery and wealth creation.

He closed off his session by sharing his testimony, charging us to give thanks daily for the things we are still trusting and believing in God for.
