Apostle Arome Speaks on Understanding The Spiritual – Day 2 Evening Session 1

He starts by explaining that Apostle Paul in 1Corinthians 12: 1-11, did not want the people to be ignorant of the spiritual. He understood their Pagan background and therefore wanted them to understand this susceptibility to negative spiritual tendencies. The people had been idol worshippers for so long that even when they were converted, they were still exposed to these tendencies. The human world is 3-dimensional and the legality of any spirit manifesting on earth can only be through the medium of an earthly being.

The focus of this message was to convey the importance of spiritual knowledge. Apostle Arome illustrated this with the story of David in II Samuel 28 verse 16. David had trained great men. When David had to hide from King Saul David found a fortress in the caves of Adulam. this hideout became his recruitment centre. The Bible described the different types of men that came to David. These men were the outlaws, the exempted and the rejected of the society, yet David was able to turn them into great men. It is estimated to take about five years to train a battalion. David was with these men for about 12 years, therefore even though they had become masters of their skill, they had nowhere to practise warfare.

When David was thirsty they protected they are men as they braved their way to fetch water in the wells across Philistine battle lines. The philistines were the ones who pioneered the discovery of iron therefore, they had the best weapons of warfare. David understood the spiritual because he was a student of Samuel. He understood the danger these men had gone through. He equated these men’s risks to blood. He knew in the spiritual that the water that had been drawn for him to drink from these wells was the equivalent of these men’s lives. He, therefore, poured the water away and gave it as a libation that is only given to God as worship.

Apostle Arome described a valid method of accessing the spiritual. He said it was important to submit to be dealt with by God. The eventual outcome of the dealing of God is spiritual knowledge. Spiritual knowledge becomes the foundation upon which the infrastructure of life rest. King David was dealt with by God when he committed adultery with Uriah’s wife. This encounter transformed him. God deals with believers to help them comport themselves. An example of this is clearly illustrated with the story of Jonah. That’s two types of hell, one is the place and the other the experience. Jonah’s experience in the belly of a whale for three days was one of such hellish experiences. Here we see the strong will of a man being melted. His days of suffering yielded spiritual knowledge. And one of the spiritual knowledge Jonah gained was recorded in Jonah 2:8, those who focus on lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

There is a measure of mercy for every destiny. Man’s efforts may be too weak, but for God to count on you must ignore popular patterns and trends and seek the ancient ways.
