Day 6: Session 5 – Dr Chris Tunde Joda

Dr Tunde Joda gave his final sermon on day 6 of the WAFBEC by speaking on The Favour of God.

In our lives and faith walk we need the revelation of wisdom. Wisdom has several meanings and definitions and some include: the ability to judge what’s true; having insight; judicious application of knowledge.

According to David Thoreau, ‘The characteristic of wisdom is not to do desperate things.’

You should seek God’s face and direction when you have decisions to make, don’t make them under pressure.

Prov 3:13-18, 4:7-8, Ecc 7:11-13

There are no God made failures.

As a believer there’s no such thing as luck! You’re not lucky…you’re blessed.

No one can make a failure out of you but you…

1Cor 1:30

There’s wisdom for everything in the Bible. The Bible also doesn’t contain the Word. IT IS THE WORD. It is the greatest manual for your life and everything you seek is found inside.

Prov 23:7, 1Peter 2:9, Luke 2:52

There are several ways to see yourself. You could see yourself as others see you. You could also see you as you see yourself and you could also see yourself as God sees you. You must begin to see yourself as God sees you because the picture God has of you is of perfect success, victory, joy, wealth, abundance etc. Refuse to answer to stupid, poor, sick, failure, confused or broke!

Favour is a lifestyle and can change situations in your life. It can change your medical report, restore relationships. It’s a gift from God we don’t deserve but got because He loves us.

People are like elevators they either take you up or bring you down. Who are you allowing into your life? Who have you allowed to speak into your life?

Wrong people don’t leave your life voluntarily, like Jonah you have to throw them overboard!

Favour can regain in a day what might have been lost for years.
