WAFBEC 2019 (Day 8) Afternoon Session 2 with Dr Samuel Patta

So also was Dr. Samuel Patta’s final session at WAFBEC 2019. His entire message centered on maintaining a close relationship with God in other to be fruitful.

He read John 15:2-5 and advised the people to align themselves to God as He expects fruit from them.

Speaking about having a close relationship with God, he explained that it is not just reaching out to the Lord when you are under pressure, or when you need something.

“This kind of relationship God does not produce fruit. You have to practice being in the presence of God. The power, abundance, joy, peace, light and life is in the vine, and so it is your job to stay connected” he said.

You have to forgive in other to stay in the vine and not prevent your access to God.

He cited Galatians 5:18-21 as vices to a Christian ought not to possess they prevent access to the presence of God. They inhibit Christians and stop them from being fruitful.

He mentioned that by,

  1. Having the right attitude, and
  2. Meditating on the word; you stay connected to God always.

He concluded his message by prophesying over the congregation, saying, “If you see, you will have a testimony. God will elevate you and you’ll be a blessing to many. And people will know that God has blessed you”.
