WAFBEC 2019 (Day 8) Closing Night with PASTOR ‘POJU OYEMADE

Like they say, “It’s a wrap”. Tonight was glorious just like it was when Moses brought down the ten commandments.

It was also strategic, as Pastor ‘Poju explained the need to allow God’s word (over these past 7 days) to be mixed with joy and faith so that it can bear fruit.

He reminded the congregation of the prayer and fasting which will hold immediately the conference has ended. “During the fast, you are to do two things”, he said.

“First, determine from God where you will land as a result of the quantum leap, and that means you telling your friends before hand where you will be at the end of the year. He says there is no virtue in keeping quiet, rather, it is a manifestation of fear. Secondly you must hear his voice specifically on what He wants you to do”, he said.

Going further, he read from Isaiah 35:1-6 and also Isaiah 29:17-19.

He confirmed what Dr Bill Winston said earlier about the process of manifestation of fruits that starts with knowledge, then meditation and then revelation.

He warned of the need to get to the point of revelation before setting goals. He stressed that Christianity isn’t about setting goals, but getting revelation first of all.

According to him, “Confession is a declaration of what is seen in revelation and we see by prayer”.

He then advised, “Sit down with all these materials you have received only then can the word take root”.

He explained that all the effort put into this conference is not to let people get excited but to be rooted in God’s word.

According to him, “One of the ways the enemy tricks the believer is to stop him/her from getting knowledge. And even after getting knowledge the next trick is to make the believer get offended, and don’t notice his tricks”.

While closing, he highlighted the three important things to do in other to be fruitful.

  1. FORGIVE. Luke 6:37-38, Matt 5:24-25, Matt. 18-15, James 5:16. The order from the scripture is to forgive first before giving. No one can give in an acceptable manner without forgiving first.
  2. GIVE. Our ability to receive is directly proportional to our ability to give.
  3. THANKSGIVING. When someone is desperate to receive he mostly finds it hard to offer thanksgiving. Praise is a demonstration of our faith, a public declarative of it. It is an acknowledgment of the revelation we have received.
