WAFBEC 2018 – Day 8 (Afternoon Session 3) with Pastor ‘Poju Oyemade

WAFBEC 2018 – Day 8 (Afternoon Session 3) with Pastor ‘Poju Oyemade

THE BELIEVING MINORITY Part 2

Reading from 2 Kings 6:17-19, Pastor Poju said that there is a difference between little faith and a grain of mustard seed.

He said, “Little faith is not continuous and cannot be sustained.” He also added that it is important for everyone who attended WAFBEC 2018, to go beyond ‘outbursts of faith’.

The minister said that God explained to him that when you are listening, you see something. Referring to 2 Kings 6:17, he said people think that the way they should respond to the word is to pace and repeat the words they heard from their preacher. “Most Christians believe they can see. The truth is that between unbelieve and faith, is seeing.”

WHAT IS THIS LITTLE OUTBURST OF FAITH?

Pastor Poju urged everyone not to be hearers alone, but doers of God’s word.

Reading Exo.15:1-4;19-25, he said, “Continuity is the characteristics of a true disciple. You cannot confess the scriptures if there is no light. Your words will have effect when you see something.Prophets were not described as speakers in the scriptures, but seers.”

Referring to Mark 8:21-29, Pastor Poju said the people who speak against things in Christianity today were once faithful disciples who got offended. He added that the reason they are offended is that they heard, but they did not see.

“Many people in Church as still seeing men as trees.  They are anointed but confused. Most people in Church who murmur after serving for a while, are doing things that were imposed on them. Only those who are blind get offended.” said Pastor Poju.

He read two scriptures – 2 Cor. 3:18 and Isa. 29:9-13. He said that If anyone preaches to a man and he does not get born again, it is because he did not see anything, not because he did not hear the words. He said that it is not of works, but of grace. What grace will do, is that it will open your eyes.

He spoke about Nigeria saying, “She can be transformed by a conscious minority who will see how things can be done properly.”

After reading Isa. 25:4-9 , he taught that Satan knows that once the eyes of a person is open there’s liberty. He said, “The day you stop seeing in the word of God, your joy stops. Rejoicing is not by will power.” {Prov. 15:30}

He added that most times, Christians mistake confession of hope as confession of faith, he added. Reading Heb. 12:26-27, he said, “When you see something, giving becomes easy. What you see cannot be transferred to another person.”

He also advised everyone to spend time and pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation, then study the words which they received during WAFBEC.

Also reading from 2 Cor. 4:1-8, Pastor Poju said that the treasure of Christianity is light. The light sets us apart from others. We have all the treasures in the earth and Satan knows it, that is why he causes people not to see. You do not see the light if you are trying to get your will to come to pass. You do not know what you need. Before you start declaring anything, God’s light must shine in your heart. The only way to get the light is to surrender to the move of the spirit.”

He said that when a man sees the light, he is not disturbed when pressure comes.

Finally, Pastor Poju explained that it is by God’s light we see light.
