WAFBEC 2018 – Day 7 (Afternoon Session 3) with DR SAMUEL PATTA

WAFBEC 2018 – Day 7 (Afternoon Session 3) with DR SAMUEL PATTA

ENJOYING DIVINE PROVISION IN THE MIDST OF FAMINE

Dr Samuel began his message by saying that miracles don’t happen where they are needed but where they are wanted. Miracles happened to those who have faith and expectation on the word of God. He read from Heb. 6:1.

He said that if we work with expectations, then we will get what we want. The minister said that Christians are in a covenant relationship with God which is sealed with the blood of Jesus.

He then advised on the following principles;

  1. To align our thoughts with the word of God so that we can do the impossible
  2. To change the way you think.

{Isa. 55:8. Prov. 23:7}

He admonished everyone to change the way they think. He said that your thinking plays a vital role in establishing what your role in life will be. Your thinking establish your belief system. If you don’t think according to God’s word, you cannot get the miraculous. James 1:21.

Reading from Rom. 12:2, he said “Allow the word of God to influence the way you think. The word is not read like a novel but meant to change our level. Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of the world. Then you will know the will of God for you when you read the word of God. Spend time in the word.”

After reading from John 8:32, He explained that Jesus had leftovers after everyone had eaten and were satisfied. He doesn’t supply stingily but abundantly. So a child of God should never live in lack. If you live in lack, it’s ignorance – lack of the knowledge of the truth.

“Your mind and imagination has to be established on this truth. You have to think and imagine it. You can’t think or imagine lack and then live in abundance. Your imagination plays a vital role in what you believe.” He said. Gen 11:6

“Allow the word of God to influence the way you think. Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of the world.”

He defined Imagination as the ability of the mind to convert words into pictures.We think in pictures.

He further said, “You cannot experience the promises of God when your imagination is filled with the experiences that happens around you. Don’t open your mouth and say the negative.”

Doctor Samuel asked the congregation what image they carried on the inside

He said, “Do not carry yourself in a way that shows people you need sympathy. Maintain a posture of someone who is blessed. Your source of blessing is God not man.”

He mentioned that imagination is a very powerful tool in who you are. You move in the direction of your most dominant thought. Josh. 1:8

He also advised, “Don’t sit in a corner and cry for sympathy. You are kings and queens who are responsible citizens, because if God be for you, who can be against you. And the only person who can stop you is you, not the devil. Stop blaming the devil and take responsibility for yourself with the word of God.”

“Don’t compare your background, size, with what your believe.” He said. “By professing something, it changes you. Keep professing good things to yourself.” Philippians 4:19.

He went on to say that memorizing the bible is not the same as renewing the mind. Memorise but let the word transform your thinking. 2 Cor. 9:8

“The most important thing to be done is that the word of God has to be sown in your hearts. And all we need is just one word, a sentence, scripture, that causes the transformation, so we shouldn’t attend the program with preconceived notions.” He said this as he prepare to close the meeting.

He concluded by saying that with every level, there is another devil so you need to learn the skills that you need that will bring the devil down. Don’t just say the words you hear, but let it play in your mind and see it and say it so that nobody can stop it.
