WAFBEC 2018 – DAY 3 (Morning Session 2) with PASTOR POJU OYEMADE

WAFBEC 2018 – DAY 3 (Morning Session 2) with PASTOR POJU OYEMADE

THE DAWNING OF A NEW DAY

Pastor Poju began the second session by declaring his intention for the conference, which is, to bridge the gap between the revelation knowledge being shared at the conference and its practicality in the lives of the congregation. He said that the element that closes this gap is faith – appropriating faith in the life of a believer.

For example, to appropriate is to set aside funds for the fulfillment of a particular thing. Appropriate means to set aside for your practical possession for something that already belongs to you in Jesus Christ.

You can pass a thing into law, that is, to authorize a thing. The second thing to do in order for it to happen is that you have to appropriate it.

Through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, certain things has now been authorized.  Then He sent forth His Spirit to come into our heart to appropriate those things. For us to take practice possession of  those things.

What has been made real to us will be made real in us. Revival always break out when a person looks into the scriptures and read the Bible.

We can say we are in Christ and Christ is in us, but the only way to prove it, is to produce works that people who don’t have Christ in them can’t produce.

We need to understand what it means and the process through which we can demonstrate what God has given us in Christ. He sent his Holy Spirit to make sure that everything that has being done for us in Christ will be manifest in our lives and the Holy Spirit wants to carry out this activity.

We must pray and give ourselves over to prayers. However, there are certain things which the Holy Spirit wants to do in us, and we must direct our prayers towards this direction.

Three things the Holy Spirit does to bring about manifestation

1) He brings us to the knowledge of those things that we have in Christ. It takes prayer for the Holy Spirit to reveal His will to us.

2) He grants us utterance for that revelation to come out of us as we declare it.

3) Then He goes to work to fulfill the spoken word (I.e. what you’ve said out of your lips)

Prayers will not just cause resurrection power to come into operation. It is faith that causes the resurrection power of God to come into operation.

2 Peter 1:16

Pastor Poju said that the dawning of a new day starts with a word of prophecy from God. You are to take hold of this revealed word of God as a light that shines in a dark place.

However, the first error most Christians make is to privately interpret the scriptures. That is, they think up something they want God to do them, and then look for scriptures to cover it. That’s not how to appropriate faith. Faith starts by knowing the will of God.

“It is faith that causes the resurrection power of God to come into operation.”

Another mistake you can make is to take your personal ambition and try to legitimize it with the word of God. That’s why the day is not dawning. Surrender your will to God. Go to him and open yourself.

The first step to manifestation is that we must give God room to be God to us.

The scriptures cannot be understood without the Holy Spirit opening up your eyes. In order for your eyes to be open up, you must make a specific request unto God asking him to open your eyes. If your eyes are not open you won’t see what you are supposed to see.

There is a difference between saying you can see (and be struggle), and asking God to open your eyes. When your eyes are open, you are not just getting information, the Holy Spirit is transforming you. ‘Real light’ is a powerful and transformative thing.

Ask God in prayers. There is a difference between intellectual relationship and God’s revelation knowledge.

“The dawning of a new day starts with a word of prophecy from God.”

Once you surrender your will, the Holy Spirit will begin to move on your behalf.  When people surrender God revelation becomes real.

In closing his message, he mentioned that no Pastor can give you revelation. Only God can.

Number 22:7

Finally, Pastor Poju closes by saying that the church is built on what the Father (God) reveals. The entering point of God’s blessing into your life is what you listen to.
