WAFBEC 2018 – Day 3 (Afternoon Session 1) with Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo

TERAH! DON’T SETTLE Part 2

Rev. Biodun began the session by reading from the book of Genesis 11:31. This was the continuation of yesterday’s message titled TERAH! DON’T SETTLE. Part 1

There are lots of people in the graveyard today who – at some point in their lives – stopped, and didn’t get to their destination. Just like Terah, in the above scripture, they arrived somewhere, settled and didn’t enter into the promised land.

This is common with Christians of today. They start things and don’t finish. The God we carry on our inside does not faint nor give up. It is ungodly not to be a finisher.

Christians always turn back in the middle of the battle. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith. God wants us to have a finisher’s mentality. He wants us to first of all count the cost (of the journey) before we start.

CONSISTENCY
Consistency is the key to breakthrough. Faithful is Him that has called you. If God called you, make sure you’re faithful and remain consistent.

God wants us to have a finisher’s mentality”

No matter the kind of calling that you have, it would take a while for things to grow. If you attempt to jump up you will come down but when you allow yourself to grow up you remain up. Consistency is the rule of the game.

FOCUS
Focus is another critical factor to remain on the path of purpose. When you focus on your focus, you will soon become the focus. You also need research to know what others are doing. If you are not inspired you will get expired. There is always more, as you interact, you can glean from others to move to a higher level because what God does for one, He can do for all.

“When you focus on your ‘focus’, you will soon become the focus.”

PROCRASTINATION
Another issue to deal with is procrastination. Procrastination is a dangerous spirit. One good way to overcome procrastination is to do whatever your hand has has found to do, and to have an open mind with God, such that you are willing to obey His voice and leading when given the instruction.

Those who see the wonders of God are those who go into deep waters. The anointing shows up when you step out. Could it be the reason we have not made much impact is due to our lack of initiative?

“The anointing shows up when you step out.”

Don’t leave in past glory. God is addicted to the new. God wants to bring the new to you. Stop leaving in your past glory, if you are still recycling old testimonies then you need to challenge the grace of God upon your life.

BE PREGNANT WITH EXPECTATIONS
Next you need to get pregnant. Everything you see around (and can touch) here is because someone dared to be pregnant. Most people like the product but don’t like to go through the process, because its uncomfortable and painful.

“If you are still recycling old testimonies then you need to challenge the grace of God upon your life.”

Pregnancy happens when the seed fertilize the egg. The word of God is the seed that should impregnate you with possibility and there is nothing wrong with the seed of the word. However there can be a problem with the soil of our heart.

The problem with the body of Christ today is that Christians are trying to push where there is no pregnancy. We need to master how to be pregnant.

Place

To be pregnant with expectations, there first has to be an atmosphere – PLACE – for you to become pregnant. Atmosphere is everything. For example, Jesus could not do some miracles in certain places.

To be pregnant, you need to locate the right place. For example, WAFBEC is a place with the right spiritual atmosphere where your spiritman can be stirred and imparted. Wherever you go to to nurture your faith is the place to be. Whoever builds your faith is your greatest friend. You must understand your spiritual DNA.

Position
The next ‘P’ is to understand your position. You don’t lock up and expect to be pregnant. You don’t get pregnant by being closed up. You must lean to give back.

Partnership
The third ‘P’ is partnership. Nobody gets pregnant alone. Partnership can do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Even Jesus Christ needed John the Baptist to speak for Him.

Everyone is a bullet, but we all need someone else to pull the trigger for us. Build strategic relationships.

Passion
The last is passion. If you focus on  your focus you will become the focus. Things don’t fall on your laps, you will have to go for it.

Finally I want you to maintain a dangerous connection with the Lord.
