WAFBEC 2018 – Day 2 (Morning Session 3) with Rev. (Mrs) Funke Felix-Adejumo

WAFBEC 2018 – Day 2 (Morning Session 3) with Rev. (Mrs) Funke Felix-Adejumo

LORD, PLEASE LIFT MY HEAD!

2 Kings 25:27-30

Rev. Funke began the session by explaining the importance of the head.

The head is the most important part of the body. Without hands or legs a person can still live. Humans carry out a kidney or heart transplant. However, no human can live without the head from the body.

On the head, you have the eyes, the ears, the mouth etc. The size of the head may be small compared to the whole body, but it is the most important.

That’s why the devil always attacks the head. (Zech 1:18-21).

When David was going to bring down Goliath, he aimed for his head. (1 Sam 17:51).

The following scriptures tell us the importance of the head;

When your head is sick, your whole body is sick. When your head is lifted, it’s evident that God loves you.

For 37 years, Jehoiachin was in prison, but God used Evil-Merodach to lift his head. God can use the least expected person, no matter how ‘evil’, to lift your head.

The following are eight (8) notable things that Evil-Merodach did for Jehoiachin;

These eight things represents what God will do in your life in 2018.

A person can be in ‘confinement’ financially. For example, when you labor like an Elephant and eat like a rat, you are in prison, financially.

You need to wear the ‘crown of financial prosperity’, because this is God’s desire for you. There are ‘horns’ that don’t want your head to be lifted.

There’s also spiritual prison.

Prison can be ministerial – where you do not see progress, but rather experience retrogression.

Families can also be in confinement. If you’re enjoying prosperity alone in your family, then you’re poor in disguise.

People don’t have to be discouraged, to need encouragement. Even Elijah needed to be fed by God, when he got to the point of discouragement, after being ‘fed fear’ by the words of Jezebel. 1 King 19:1

We all need people to speak kindly to us. At the dawning of a new day, God will send people who will help you, and be kind to you.

You need to start sowing the seeds of kindness. No matter how bad people treat you, don’t pay them back, because you will reap what you sow. They’ll also reap what they sowed.

Rev. Funke ended the session with a prayer…

God will give you perpetual and overlapping blessings that will last beyond 2018. People (who you least expect, and from quarters you least expect) will locate you. God will lift your head.”
