WAFBEC 2018 – Day 2 (Afternoon Session 2) with PASTOR BIODUN FATOYINBO

WAFBEC 2018 – Day 2 (Afternoon Session 2) with PASTOR BIODUN FATOYINBO

TERAH! DON’T SETTLE.

Pastor Biodun started his message by reading from Gen 11: 31-32. Then asked the congregation to prophesy to one another saying, ”You won’t settle where you are.”

He explained that our relationship with God, which is based on the covenant, is likened to the game ‘tennis’. He said that no one can play tennis all by themselves.

Faith is not just speaking, but also believing that you have it. The word ‘Ginosko’ is used to describe a tangible knowledge about what you have, in that, it becomes so real to you.

You cannot see situationally, but revelation-ally.’

Pastor Biodun said that God is so smart and wise. When He (God) is building faith on your inside, He makes sure that you get to a point where you cannot walk out of the situation.

Consider the story of Peter and the man at the Beautiful gate. When Peter was asked by the Jewish elders about the miracle done to this lame man, he said that it was the faith that was supplied through Christ Jesus that made him whole.

Confidence (faith) is supplied.

He then urged the congregation not to attend church because of familiarity or excitement. Rather for the essence of the word. Keep feeding on the word, you might need some day to fight the battles the devil throws at you.

Matthew 14:26-31.

Just like Peter whom the devil prevented from carrying out the supernatural, he also wants to distract you. Satan is in the business of making you do things without accomplishing it.

When did you start to fall?”, asked Pastor Biodun. “Was it when you started to mingle with people or read some stuff that you should not be with you or shouldn’t be reading? What did you do with the 168 hours in the week?

Pastor Biodun explained that we function inside out. “We have to see from the inside. You touch it before you see it. Once you can touch it, you can see it. It is called Lambano”

He added that when a blessing is released, it knows what to do. Gen 11:31. “You’re a container with a content, sent to a continent. Don’t put a full stop behind the exploits of the enemy in your life.”

Terah according to the minster, lived 205 years in the land of Haran, where he wasn’t supposed to be.

He told the congregation, that life is a journey, in phases and in 2018, focus is something we have to take seriously.

Pastor Biodun said he has pastored for nineteen years, and observed that a lot of Nigerians are gifted but not focused. Focus creates blindness. When you focus on your focus you would soon become a focus. When you understand focus, you don’t fight every battle. You don’t answer ever question.

He further went on to highlight four important truths:

  1. Purpose is the starting point. The journey begins the moment you understand your purpose.
  2. Take off the limitations. The reason why things aren’t working is because you’re not taking any initiative. Faith is persuasion with corresponding action.
  3. Past achievement is a source of pride. Forget what you have achieved and focus on accomplishing new things.
  4. Put off the former things. Joshua 5:10 (Gilgal). To step into the new, you have to cut some things off. Col 2:11. It will bring pain, discomfort, and the shedding of blood. But it will usher you into a new beginning.

Proverbs 13:20, Joshua 3:3-4

Never be in the companion of fools, the enemy will bring weak people into your life. “Has God asked you to do something, and you’ve been putting it off?” Your miracle is in the steps that you take.

Finally, he encouraged the audience to ask God for everything they need, and begin to walk into it. Receive it! Embrace the new!
