Prospering By Faith – 33Days to #WAFBEC2014

It is God’s will for us, as believers, to prosper and enjoy good health (3 John 1). This means that the lack, if any, that we experience is not from God. However, the individual experience of the prosperity that God has destined for us is determined by the prosperity of the soul as can be seen even in the verse mentioned above. The prosperity of our soul refers to the maturing of our soul on God’s Word through the renewing of the mind on His word till there is an abundance of it in our spirit which then dictates what goes on in our soul as well.

To prosper as God wills therefore, the first recourse should be to read and meditate on God’s Word on a daily basis. As believers, we are assured that if we stick to the process of constant meditation on God’s Word, day and night, we will have good success (Joshua 1:8) which is the will of God for us. It comes with endless financial abundance, stability in health, flourishing families, excellence in other spheres of life and that really is the kind of prosperity that God wants for us. Such prosperity does not come through scheming our way to money but through time-tested principles of faith founded on God’s Word.

A major step towards God’s idea of prosperity for the believer is to study the Word of God and from there modify his thinking, fashioning out guiding principles for his life, business, family, health and every other aspect of his life, from God’s Word. Going on to confess the promises received by revelation and praying in tongues helps to build a strong spirit that can perceive open doors, ideas and opportunities for wealth. It is however not enough to meditate and confess God’s Word received, we must act on the word, otherwise we’d be deceiving ourselves (James 1:22). As we go on taking steps of faith, sowing seeds and acting on divine instructions for the next level in our occupations, business and other endeavours, without doubting in our spirit, we will surely see the manifestation of His promises and receive a great harvest.

The believer prospers by the Word, so, we prosper by affirming the truth of God’s will of prosperity for us through our belief in the Word, consistent confession in line with the Word, and acting on the Word always.
