DAY 4: EVENING SESSION 2 WITH PASTOR MATTHEW ASHIMOLOWO

DAY 4: EVENING SESSION 2 WITH PASTOR MATTHEW ASHIMOLOWO

Everyone in the auditorium was excited to see Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo again at WAFBEC 2020.

Tonight, he taught on the subject of healing as the believer’s covenant right. His main text were 3 John 2 and Psalm 30:2. He prophesied that healings will occur during the course of this service.

Starting from the old testament, he read Exodus 15:26, saying that one of the covenant names of God is Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. He also pointed out the fact that God from the scripture signed a commitment to heal from Matt. 4:23. In the same way, Isaiah 53:4 suggests physical, emotional and pyschological healing from God.

According to Pastor Matthew, healing isn’t limited to salvation. He explained from Hebrews 13:8 to show that Jesus never changes, has he healed before, he will heal again. He read Psalm 103:3 and taught that healing is a benefit available for the children of God.

One of the reasons he stated why we must enjoy healing from God is that He is a Healing God. While explaining this point, he read from James 5:16.

He encouraged everyone that healing has to do with a walk to faith and not based on our prayers and fasting without faith. From Acts 3:15-16, Pastor Matthew explained that we can pray by faith, holding onto God for healing and something happens. He however reiterated that it isn’t in the amount of our prayers, but our trust in God’s mercies. According to him, “Mercy unlocks the grace of God for healing.”

He went further to say that Mercy does not displace the place of prayer and fasting, as that helps our faith to grow and be ready to activate our miracles. But when faith and mercy meets wonders happen. Luke 1:58

He shared a testimony of how God heal him from a bone complication that required a major bone replacement surgery. The case was so bad that the chance of recovery was 50|50. He also recalled how he took the test result before the lord. It’s been 10 years since God healed him from that situation.

After sharing another personal story, he stressed the need for an individual to declare healing upon himself through the stripes of Christ.

In explaining how an individual should receive the grace of healing, hel said that he or she must understand the part that Jesus has already done in respect to our healing. Another step he noted is Prayer. See Gen 30:17, Psalm 30:2, Matt. 21:22

Pastor Matthew closed with several testimonies of healing through his prayers of faith, saying there is a need to have a God kind of faith Mark 11:26. By the end of the message everyone was geared up in faith to receive the healing to all kinds of infirmities.
