Day 3 – Session 1: Pastor ‘Poju Oyemade

Text: I Thessalonians 2:17 -18

Paul had longed to physically visit the brethren in Thessalonica as he always had them on his mind. He later recognized that the repetition of being unable to visit the church was because Satan had hindered him. It was evident that Satan had been left unchecked because his business is to ‘scatter the individual’ where he does not kill that person.

Romans 1: 9

Paul wanted to visit so that he could impart/ deposit spiritual gifts to the church so that the activity of the Holy Spirit in their lives would increase.

There is something about being physically present in meetings such as WAFBEC where there is an impartation of  the Holy Spirit.  There is a need for the stirring up of the gifts that have been placed on us by prophetic utterances

Pastor ‘Poju stressed the need for members of the church to attend WAFBEC because of the impartation that occurs as a result of being in attendance. Furthermore, he cited the testimony from the opening night where a man whose cousin had lost over 100,000 USD in business on Friday, January 22, 2016 and contemplated suicide before coming for the opening night.  For the first time, the man found himself slain in the Spirit. When he returned home that night, he found out that the brokers had credited his account with thousands of dollars which had wiped away his loss.

I Timothy 4: 13-15

Meditate on the Word and the promises will appear to you. At WAFBEC, it is beyond listening, intellectually assimilating the sermons/ teachings. You need to meditate because when you do so, the Word breaks boundaries within you therefore something arises in your life.  A new dawn breaks; a new season comes in your life as a result of meditation.

The wisdom given to Joseph that the 7 years of abundance would suffice during the 7 years of famine is an example of a miracle, however in a situation where the abundance has been used up; it is the prophetic that will see those concerned through the years of famine. Pastor ‘Poju gave a word of caution ‘Do not be careful in the year of drought,’ the Lord will ensure you do not wither but thrive as you keep the word He has given you on your lips.

Hebrews 2:1-4; 4:2; Mark 16:20

The Lord worked with the Word and confirmed it with signs following. As you meditate on the Word, signs, wonders and diverse miracles begin to take place.

Romans 10: 2-3,8- 17

The Israelites were zealous for God but there was no knowledge or power as they were not in Faith. One thing is needful in the service of God i.e. have faith that comes through hearing of the Word. According to Pastor Mark Hankins, ‘Faith is a mouth to mouth resuscitation’, hence the notes that you write during WAFBEC must not depart from your mouth but you must meditate on them by putting the words on your lips.

Acts 11:7-14

Cornelius gave heed to the instruction of the angel and the miracle of Pentecost was manifested to his entire household as a result. The word must incubate in your heart and hatch the promises in your life.

Psalm 63:5; 119:148

Meditate on the Word in the night watches. Meditate on your notes by as you keep declaring the Word you have been given.
