Day 2: Session 6 – Rev. Scott Webb

Rev Webb continued expounding on the topic of faith and how believers ought to function and live by faith and also what the rest of God means to the believer.
Ezekiel 36:26-28, II Corinthians 5:17-20.

The words “heart” and “spirit” are used interchangeably in these scriptures.
Most of us are content with being a better version of ourselves, meanwhile what we are is a NEW creature in Christ. We ought to learn a new way of living and operating. Learn to live out of the inner man (spirit) and not the outer man which is what the natural man does.

Because you are a new creature, with a new spirit within you, you have strength for the long haul. You have more than enough capacity for the race that is set before you because you have direct access to the Creator of all things, who is your Source.

We are no longer subject to the dictates of the world but we need to learn to get past the ‘dirt’ of fear kicked up in our face, navigate the turns of life and operate by the inner man. Live life in a new way in action and thought

Hebrews 4:9-12

There are cycles in life- a day is based on the rotation of the Earth, a month is based on the lunar cycle, a year is based on the revolution of the Earth.
A week is however different. It’s based on the fact that God created the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th. God set up the week so we would understand the importance of the Sabbath. However, it’s not about the day per se in terms of Saturday or Sunday, it’s about the spiritual lesson He wants to teach us.

We need to understand the importance of the rest of God. Our labour is to enter into that rest. That is how our life will become more productive and our endeavours more far-reaching.

In the New Testament, you enter into a life of rest. And faith is that rest. It’s about learning to live life worry free and without anxiety because where faith begins is where anxiety ends.

Again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.” (Hebrews 4:7 NKJV)

God keeps renewing the promise and setting the date as today, just as he did in David’s psalm, centuries later than the original invitation: Today, please listen, don’t turn a deaf ear… (Hebrews 4:7 MSG)

God’s promise to you is today. He has reset the date. It’s today. So for those that have become weary and tired after trying different things last week or last year, God has set the reset button and it’s TODAY!
NOW faith is… Faith is NOW!

Reset yourself into the right time zone. Today. Now. That’s Gods day and time. Forget about tomorrow and about yesterday. God has got something, a manifestation and a blessing, for you today.  Today is the talk of the new creature. Jesus never asked anyone to come back later

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NKJV)
The definition in the original is to cram your net with a full supply of everything that you need. That is the God that we serve

Thank the Lord for today. You will see His manifestations
