Day 2: Session 5- Pastor Inyang Okutiyang

KILLING THE GIANT IN YOUR LIFE

The account of David in 1st Samuel 17: 1-26 shows us that we will be faced with series of challenges in life but God will never leave or forsake us.

Usually, the devil attacks when we are doing something wrong or when we are doing right.

Goliath is a symbol of mountains and challenges. Like him, all problems we face have a voice and they talk to us in a bid to instill fear. When your problems speak to you, the worst thing to do is to keep silent. You should address every Goliath (problem) in your life. Respond  boldly declaring of God’s Word  in your life. Speak back to every contrary circumstances. God is still in the business of making unlikely persons champions. Our job is to follow Him and learn His ways.

Never take the words of your enemy and put them in your own mouth….speak GOD’S WORD ONLY.
Realise that when anything comes against you, it comes against God…and they will fail. Don’t just quote scriptures, without benefitting from them….learn to take advantage of God’s Word.

Never limit the gifts and operations of the Spirit to church. These operations occur much more, even outside church. Do not accept any voice that is contrary to God’s Word, that is the voice of the enemy. Refuse and rebuke it. It’s your responsibility to SPEAK God’s Word back to them.

The understanding of  our covenant with God and its revelation is what makes the difference when we are faced with challenges. Knowledge brings light and light brings faith to remain victorious!

Our God is a Faith God. Walking and following Him by faith, pleases Him. Our business is not to try to change God, but to FOLLOW Him.
