Day 2: Session 1: Rev Scott Webb

In his first session during WAFBEC 2014 Rev Scott Webb delved into what faith really is, how it should be used and the result it should produce in our lives.

Mark 11: 22-25, Mark 4:3. 10, 13-14, 24 & 26

Having faith in God has no practical meaning if you don’t have faith in His Word. Faith in someone is based on communication and interaction. Until there’s communication there’s nothing to believe.

You cannot have faith in God unless you know what He has said.

Jesus tells us that mountains (obstacles) are movable. He also didn’t say that faith would move mountains but rather that words move mountains! It is God’s Word that moves the impediments in our lives.

The reality is that most of the members of the body of Christ have faith to do everything. The challenge is the application.

Naturally anyone knows that if you want to a harvest (of anything) you must plant something. It’s no mystery, everything operates on the principle of seedtime and harvest. The same is true spiritually 1 Peter 1:23 and what God has done is that every seed has a harvest already in built. Faith didn’t put the harvest inside the seed…God did! The same is true of God’s Word whether we believe it or not, He has already put a harvest in His Word.

The minute the seed is planted, work begins in the unseen realm to bring about a harvest. Once the seed is planted the ground goes to work to produce a harvest. Once the seed is planted, nothing can stop the harvest the only thing you need to do is water it!

We are the ground designed for the Word to be planted in! When you hear it for the first time it gets planted. Teaching waters the seed planted. You plant the Word by saying and water it the same way too.

Everything you’ll ever need God has provided the seed for it and when you plant it and give it the water it needs it will grow. Nothing can stop the process if you don’t abort it. Remember that God’s Word in your mouth is as powerful as God’s Word in His mouth.
