DAY 2 (Evening Session) with Bishop Francis Wale Oke

DAY 2 (Evening Session) with Bishop Francis Wale Oke

Just like yesterday’s opening night, the auditorium during today’s evening session was filled with an atmosphere of faith.

Bishop Wale Oke started by declaring that everyone is stepping into God’s greater glory today. He said that the whole congregation is meeting with God tonight, and no one will leave the auditorium the same way they came.

He went ahead to share examples of men in the Bible who met with God and experienced His greater glory.

Below are some examples he spoke of to explain the dimensions of God’s greater glory.

Moses, the burning bush. He changed from a vagabond to a ‘god’ to pharaoh. Isaiah’s encounter with God in chapter six in the book of Isaiah. An established prophet and had written five chapters before he met with God and was changed forever.

According to Bishop Wale, the encounter with God changed Isaiah and he became a messianic prophet. Isaiah wrote 60 more chapters after that encounter.

He moved into another dimension in his ministration. He spoke about the essence of man after God created him.

He led the congregation to Genesis where he spoke about Joseph’s travails until God’s word came. The enemy had seen Joseph as a covenant child and fought him to put his destiny on hold, until God ‘s word came. Everything, therefore, became new in Joseph’s life.

Bishop Wale said when God wants to do something significant in the life of a believer, he changes his or her garments. He then urged everyone to get ready for a change of garment and status.

He reminded the audience that God made man in his image and made him to have dominion over everything; and as a result what is not in God shouldn’t be seen in the life of a Christian.

He dwelt on that portion in Genesis which says, “Be fruitful and multiply.” According to him, fruitfulness is a command and not an advise. This was God’s first statement to man. Fruitfulness eliminates barrenness in anything; be it mentally, intellectually, physically.

While closing, he read Leviticus 25:18 to show that God has the power to give the harvest of multiple years in a single year. God can give a result in a day that would normally take a 1000 years to achieve by our own means.

He prophesied that this year God will give everyone multiple harvest of ideas, estates, wealth, intellectual properties. He asked the congregation to pray that God will give them multiple harvests in one year.

As usual, he made an altar call and several people came to give and rededicate their lives to Jesus. He pronounced a blessing over the people and thanked Pastor Poju for inviting him.
